Just to clarify a statement that was made that the New Terminal 2 would fall in the footprint of Terminal C, the new Terminal 2 is actually 2.5 to 3 times larger than Terminal C. Do you think they are clearing all that land for nothing?

Also, in case you haven't noticed, almost every airport is expanding at this time to prepare for the future. If RDU wants to have a future, they need free gate space, aircraft parking space, updated systems, and the capability to handle passengers domesticately and internationally.

I noticed that when Time-Warner sold itself to AOL for the funny money that was AOL stock, one of the arguments was preparing for the future. RDU users deserve a more specific approach to the bottom line than such vague argumentation.

Sure, one day expansion will be needed. And it should even be in place before it's needed badly.

But if Terminal A is overcrowded because a whole concourse of Terminal C is about to be shut down and demolished, and then someone argues that Terminal C needs to be expanded because Terminal A is overcrowded, you have yourself a circular argument.
